Richard Egizi is a wonderful composer who writes truly beautiful melodies and harmony. I’ve just completed the music preparation of manuscripts for his orchestral piece “Le quattro fasi di sesso femminile”, which will be played by the San Fernando Valley Symphony Orchestra in late September. I have been Richard’s music copyist on four projects now, and he has always been a real pleasure to work with.
Tracy Bonham sheet music
Tracy Bonham is an alternative rock musician based in New York who is best known for her single “Mother Mother,” which received two Grammy nominations. The sheet music for her latest album “Masts of Manhatta” will be published by ZMX Music, and I have just begun the process of transcribing and arranging the sheet music from the original recordings.
Arabic music book
I just completed the music preparation of the examples for a book titled Introduction to Arabic Music and the Maqams by Bana Haffar, who is also the bass player for the band So & So and a musician extraordinaire in general. Our western music software doesn’t like arabic microtonal music too much, so it was a little tricky! The book with my music engravings will be published in early 2011.
Imbrolio nel Lenzuolo released
Italian film L’imbroglio nel lenzuolo was released in theatres today. It was directed by Alfonso Arau, stars the iconic beauty Maria Grazia Cucinotta, and has a film score composed by Ruy Folguera. I was the orchestrator and music copyist for Ruy, and we recorded the orchestra at Gustavo Borner’s 19-time Grammy-winning studio Igloo Music.
Working with Stewart Copeland
I have begun working with Stewart Copeland, working towards a concert with the Dallas Symphony in February of next year. I am assisting him with the music preparation for his symphonic work, which combines a western orchestra with a massive eastern gamelan orchestra on one stage to create a percussion player’s whimsical dream come true. The piece was commissioned especially for Stewart and the percussion ensemble D’Drum and will be conducted by Jaap van Zweden.
Recording for Facundo Monty in Prague
Today we recorded the Prague Philharmonic playing my orchestrations and Ruy Folguera’s arrangements for an album by Facundo Monty titled Ella. I was also the music copyist. It was recorded at the famous Smecky Music Studios with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

Recording film score in Prague
Today I co-produced the recording sessions for the film Cuestion de Principios using the City of Prague Philharmonic. I was the orchestrator for composer Ruy Folguera. Composed in Argentina, orchestrated in Los Angeles, and recorded in Prague, it is a truly international film score. The film was directed by Rodrigo Grande.
